In 2011 Lisa and the Inside Edition I-Squad won the prestigious National Headliner Award for Best Investigative Reporting. The hidden camera investigation into home air duct cleaning schemes took first place, edging out both CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360 and NBC News.

Hi Friends and Family,

I have a really exciting announcement about an event that I’ve been asked to participate in and I need your help!

Dancing with the Community Stars is the marquis event during the Annual Oxnard Salsa Festival on July 30-31 of this year. I have been asked to be a dancer to compete for my favorite charity, which as you may know is The Salvation Army. For the next six weeks I will be learning a salsa ballroom routine with a professional dancer (David Polon) to raise money for The Salvation Army’s Free Medical & Dental Clinic. It services the needs of the uninsured and underinsured of Ventura County, CA. The winner of the competition is determined by how many votes the competitor receives- each vote costs one dollar. All of the money donated from these votes goes directly to The Salvation Army. Last years winner raised $40,000 for a food pantry, so my goal is to raise at least that much money for my charity.

Lisa’s backsplash mosaic line “Kitchen Bitches” will be on display all April at the Rebecca Molayem Gallery 306 N. Robertson, W. Hollywood 90048. Her work is part of the group show, Modern Muses, featuring four female artists who are all inspired by women.
