I have a really exciting announcement about an event that I’ve been asked to participate in and I need your help!
Dancing with the Community Stars is the marquis event during the Annual Oxnard Salsa Festival on July 30-31 of this year. I have been asked to be a dancer to compete for my favorite charity, which as you may know is The Salvation Army. For the next six weeks I will be learning a salsa ballroom routine with a professional dancer (David Polon) to raise money for The Salvation Army’s Free Medical & Dental Clinic. It services the needs of the uninsured and underinsured of Ventura County, CA. The winner of the competition is determined by how many votes the competitor receives- each vote costs one dollar. All of the money donated from these votes goes directly to The Salvation Army. Last years winner raised $40,000 for a food pantry, so my goal is to raise at least that much money for my charity.
